| Govinder's trained at Bradford Art College, where he studied Graphic Design in the early 80's. He went on to study at London Art College, completing a Diploma in Graphic Design, specialising in Illustration, in 1985. After six months in London, he moved to Cambridge and continued to work in Freelance illustration. After getting a job as a designer for a greetings card company with responsibility for product design he moved back to Bradford in 1987. In 1990 he joined an artists' agency, working on licensing, product development and directing photographic shoots which handed him a prestigious position as a photographic art director with a mail order catalogue. He spent the next year traveling around the world on fashion shoots. In 93 Govinder Nazran returned to working freelance on card designs and having built up a reputation through his work, he approached the fine art market with thoughts of getting his designs published.
